Registration
U.S. citizens in Chad are strongly encouraged to register and to obtain information on travel and security in Chad at the U.S. Embassy. Citizens may register online at the following website https://travelregistration.state.gov. Registration information provided at that website is immediately available to the Embassy and will be protected under the Privacy Act. You may also register in person with the Consular section, at which time you will be given additional information on the warden system.

Travel Warning
Travel Warnings are issued to describe long-term, protracted conditions that make a country dangerous or unstable. A Travel Warning is also issued when the U.S. Government's ability to assist American citizens is constrained due to the closure of an embassy or because of a drawdown of its staff.
