Mission of the U.S. Embassy to Chad by Amb. Louis J. Nigro,

Ambassador Louis Nigro

"The American Embassy in Chad has the responsibility of implementing U.S. foreign and security policy goals in Chad. We carry out this mission by deepening the partnership that exists between the United States and Chad. We will continue to assist Chad to provide safe haven for refugees from Darfur and the Central African Republic and displaced Chadians, as well as the continued deployment of peacekeeping forces to protect those populations and the humanitarian workers who assist them. We will rest in solidarity with Chad in its efforts to reestablish peace and stability in the region. And we will join with other friends and partners of Chad in accompanying the Chadian people to strengthen their democracy, to reinforce the rule of law and to protect the human rights of all Chadians."
